It has become clear to me over the years that your temporary tattoo collection directly correlates to your social status as well, so if you wanna be the coolest kid on the block you'll start saving up!

Neat idea: Advertising! If you run a business and you feel like getting it out to the world, what better way to do it then by designing and printing your own temporary tattoos and distrubuting them at conventions? Better than a stupid pen or coffee mug...
